The idea

A road trip you play through.

Most pickleball trips are a resort with courts attached. This one moves. Thirty-two players board; friends emerge 2,400 miles later.

Mornings are courts. Afternoons are the road. Partners don't have to play — eight companion seats ride with every departure.

A two-lane stretch of Route 66 curving through northern Arizona, with a stone Route 66 marker and the San Francisco Peaks beyond.
Day 7 · Northern Arizona — seven thousand feet of ponderosa country
The route

One road, both directions.

It's the same tour either way — same resorts, same landmarks, ten sessions each. Half the departures start in Chicago, half at the Santa Monica Pier. Pick the date that fits.

The country in between

From the rolling plains of the Midwest to the crystal-blue Pacific, across the mountains and deserts that separate them — an American boulevard of hopes and dreams for a hundred years.

Mornings are pickleball. Afternoons are all of this, at ground level.

The pickleball

Ten sessions. Every level. Nobody on the sideline.

Come to win.

Local pros at every club session prepare you to claw your way through the doubles, blind doubles, and singles brackets with one-on-one instruction. Seeds come from watching you actually play, not from your self-reported rating. It ends on one court at golden hour, under the lights, with the whole tour on the sideline — and the awards dinner after.

Come as a pair, compete as a pair — bring your partner and the (non-blind) doubles bracket is yours together, start to finish. Come alone and the draw deals you in.

The real fun starts when you get knocked out of the bracket.

Lose on Tuesday, you're back on court Wednesday — clinics with local pros, rec play, and games that matter to nobody but the four people laughing through them. No rating gate, no minimum, no partner required. By the pier you'll have played with (and against) all 31 of your new friends.

Comfort off the court

Ten days, zero roughing it.

Historic hotels

Every night in a hotel with a story — a lakeside resort under a landmark dome, a 1939 Hilton original, a desert resort with courts under the lights.

The motorcoach

Executive recliners and legroom for days. The windows do the entertaining.

The table

Breakfast and lunch every day, plus the celebration dinner. The other evenings you're loose in the best roadfood country in America.
